Liventus Introduces Credit Mind to Bring Consistency and Transparency to Equipment Finance Underwriting
Built on underwriting rules refined over more than 35 years of live lending, Credit Mind takes an equipment finance application from intake to a documented credit decision in minutes.
NORTHBROOK, IL – October 20, 2026 – Liventus today introduced Credit Mind, a decision intelligence platform that takes an equipment finance application from intake to a documented credit decision in minutes. Credit Mind pulls together application data, bank statements, bureau reports, public records, equipment details and known issues, evaluates the deal against the lender’s own credit policy and business rules, and puts everything the underwriter needs to decide in one place. New data sources and additional integrations are planned for rollout throughout the next several months. Early access is open now to equipment finance and specialty lenders, with general availability planned before the end of 2026.
Credit Mind was developed over the last two years by Liventus’s equipment finance, credit and engineering teams, who together bring more than 100 years of combined experience underwriting deals and building lending systems. That group contributed the credit policy, scoring logic and business rules, and shaped how the platform handles incomplete information, guarantor risk and exceptions. The rules themselves have been tested and refined on live deal flow for more than 35 years. The result is underwriting software built by people who underwrite, and build systems for underwriters, for a living.
“Underwriters spend too much of their day gathering information, keying it in and reconciling documents, and most origination systems that promise to fix that don’t,” said Dan Levin, President and Co-Founder of Liventus. “Lenders also don’t want to migrate systems every time they want an advantage. They want something easy to adopt and flexible enough to deliver the benefit they’re after. So, Credit Mind connects to the front end you already have and extends it. It pulls and aggregates every data source automatically, cross-references the deal against your business rules, surfaces the issues that matter to you the moment they appear, and shows the basis for each recommendation. We use AI in many ways: interpreting parts of the deal, pulling public information, even building custom skills. But the platform runs with or without it, because some lenders operate under compliance requirements that don’t allow AI in the credit decision. If your credit committee isn’t ready for AI, the system still works. The goal is to help you make a near-instant, consistent decision on every application, so your experienced credit people spend their time on the deals that need their judgment.”
The Lender’s Policy, a Documented Recommendation
Credit Mind ships with hundreds of proven underwriting rules and lets each lender add, refine or replace them with its own. The platform combines data aggregation, cross-verification, research and intelligence on businesses, guarantors, vendors and equipment with bank statement analysis and commercial credit information. Current data integrations include Equifax, TransUnion, TLO, PayNet, CLEAR, Middesk, Ocrolus and others, with dozens more scoped and planned over the coming months and throughout 2027. On the origination side, Credit Mind syncs bidirectionally with Salesforce and Microsoft Dynamics, with other CRM integrations to follow, and reports through Data Console, Liventus’s equipment finance reporting product, which now includes an MCP server and agents that analyze and act on a lender’s data. Lenders connect data sources through their own provider agreements and credentials, so their existing data relationships stay theirs.
Every application produces a structured decision record documenting the policy rules evaluated, the results and the supporting data. The decision itself is deterministic: recommendations come from defined rules and documented inputs, and AI makes the findings easier to review and communicate. That separation is central to the design, and it is what lets an underwriter, a credit committee or an examiner see exactly how a decision was reached.
Built Around Real Underwriting Work
“A faster recommendation is only half of it. The underwriter needs to know how the system got there, and to get every question they would normally chase down answered in seconds,” Levin said. “The rules in Credit Mind did not come off a whiteboard. Each one was tested against real deals, real losses and real exceptions over two decades before it went into the platform. That is what makes a recommendation your credit team can trust, and it is why every decision record shows the work.”
Fits the Workflow a Lender Already Has
No two lenders underwrite the same way, and a platform that forces one workflow on everyone ends up as shelfware. Credit Mind can be used out of the box with its standard rules and integrations, or configured to a lender’s own workflow, policy and approval path. Data sources can be added or removed as a lender’s needs change. Lenders can run Credit Mind alongside their existing origination and servicing systems as a decision accelerator or use it as a lightweight origination system on its own. Brokers can use it the same way to package and pre-qualify deals before submission. The platform supports multiple lenders with each lender’s data isolated at the database layer.
