On January 24, 2024, the National Equipment Finance Association (NEFA) hosted an exhilarating ice fishing event on frozen Lake Minnetonka. This gathering brought together industry professionals, outdoor enthusiasts, and community members for a day of camaraderie and adventure on the ice.
From 11:30 am to 7:30 pm CST, participants enjoyed a full day of ice fishing activities, networking opportunities, and delicious meals amidst the stunning winter landscape of Lake Minnetonka. NEFA planned this regional event to provide attendees with an unforgettable experience from start to finish. Among the attendees were Danielle Dolloff, Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Chris Deveney, EVP of Solutions, and Jesse Johnson, consultant at Liventus. Their presence underscored Liventus’ commitment to supporting industry events and engaging with peers in the equipment finance community.
Kicking off the event, Channel Partners hosted a lunch at their new corporate office. Tours of the office showed off the many amenities, including multiple beverage stations throughout and various comfortable locations for teams to meet. After lunch, as the group ventured onto the frozen expanse of Lake Minnetonka, they were greeted by the sight of six ice houses and trailers, each equipped with predrilled ice holes, comfy chairs, and, most importantly – heat. While the fish, for the most part, successfully avoided their lures, the group did manage to catch a few little ones. Since all the fish were tossed back into the lake, when dinner came, they headed to Lord Fletcher’s for a wonderful meal and more time to connect and converse.
Beyond the excitement of ice fishing, the NEFA event provided valuable networking opportunities for attendees to connect with industry professionals and forge new relationships. Whether sharing fishing stories on the ice or mingling during mealtime gatherings, participants enjoyed meaningful interactions that fostered a sense of community and camaraderie.
